A Kindle Cover

My sweet, sweet, sweet hubby bought me a Kindle for Christmas after hearing me complain about trying to hold a book while nursing my wee little babe.

He’s a great listener and I love my Kindle.  It’s perfect.

Except it needed a cover.

I decided on a simple sleeve design, similar to an envelope and fastened it with Velcro so that it would be easy to open when my hands are full.

It is lined with fusible fleece to give the Kindle added protection.

The only thing I don’t like is my appliqued hedgehog.  The hedgehog is cute, but then I went and outlined the whole thing which was stupid.  What I should have done is select fabrics that had more contrast.

Which just means that I’ll end up making a new cover some day soon.

Measurements:  6″ x 8″ and 6″ x 10″ from outer and lining.  Round the corners of the longer piece.  Two pieces of fusible fleece cut to 5″ x 7″.
